Examinations Policy

  1. Participant should reach examination room at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. No additional time shall be given to participant arriving late.
  2. The participant who has short attendance (less than 85%) in any of the course(s) shall not be allowed to sit in the examination room.
  3. Class attendance:                    85%

  • CAT-I:                        5% (MCQs 70 % + SEQ 30%) (5th week of the semester)
  • Mid Term:                   5% (MCQs 70 % + SEQ 30%) (9th week of the semester)
  • CAT-II            (Final)             5% (MCQs 70 % + SEQ 30%) (16th week of the semester)  
  • Assignment, Class participant, Presentation:  05%
  • Attitude & Behavior: 5% (Throughout the semester)
  • Attendance                 5% (Throughout the semester

 

  1. Don’t bring your mobile phone and any other unauthorized electronic gadgets!
    If you bring it to an exam, you should be aware of the following:
    1. SINHS accepts no responsibility for loss/damage to personal belongings
    2. On finding any of the unauthorized electronic gadgets, can lead the participant to Unfair Means Case.
  2. Participant must maintain complete silence in the examination room. If a participant has any kind of query he/she should raise his/her hand and wait for the invigilator.
  3. Lending/borrowing of pen, pencil, ruler, calculator, etc. is strictly prohibited in the examination room.
  4. Participant must display student ID Card.
  5. No rough work is to be done on the question paper.
  6. Participant must mark his/her attendance on the attendance sheet during the examinations. In case, his/her name is not listed, they need to report to an invigilator immediately.
  7. Participant found cheating; chatting, gesturing or misbehaving in the examination room shall be dealt with under the College rules.
  8. Any participant using abusive or obscene language in the answer sheet shall be dealt with under disciplinary rules.
  9. Participant cannot leave the examination room without prior permission of the invigilator.
  10. Participant is not allowed to leave his/her seat during the exam without getting permission from the invigilator.
  11. An attempt to gain access to a question paper before the examinations shall be dealt under the college rules.
  12. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the Examination Centre until half the scheduled time of that examination has passed. In case a candidate has to leave the Examination Centre in emergency situation before this time, for any reason to be recorded in writing by the Centre Superintendent and forwarded to the Controller of Examinations, he/she shall not be allowed to take the question paper with him/her.
  13. No candidate shall be allowed to re-enter the Examination Centre if he/she leaves after handing over the answer book.
  14. Candidate shall write roll number with blue/black ink before starting the paper on response sheet, answer book and question papers.
  15. Candidates shall not take into the Examination Centre books or notes, papers, bags, pencil cases, pagers, mobile phones, calculators, palmtop computers, tape recorders or any other material or equipment. Anyone found in possession of any of the above articles shall be disqualified from the subject he/she is appearing.
  16. Candidate shall not ask for, and shall not be given any explanation about the question paper. In case any clarifications i.e., misprint / error is required for any valid reasons, as ascertained by the Centre Superintendent, it shall be done strictly after obtaining permission of the principal (Internal Examinations).
  17. Smoking shall not be allowed in the Examination Centre.
  18. Candidate shall not talk or disturb other candidates after commencement of the examination.
  19. Candidate shall not borrow anything from other candidates during the examination.
  20. Candidate shall not remove a leaf or a part thereof from the answer book.
  21. While leaving the Examination Centre, candidate shall handover all answer books, MCQ paper and MCQ response sheet to the Supervisory Staff.
  22. Candidate who tries to use unfair means or creates law and order situation during the conduct of the examination or otherwise shall be dealt with under "Unfair Means Regulations".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Eligibility to appear in the University Examinations:       

 

A student shall be eligible to appear in a professional examination if he/she fulfill the following conditions:

 

  1. Has passed all the subjects of the previous examination.
  2. Has undergone the specified period of theoretical and practical courses and clinical training including demonstrations for the said examination to the satisfaction of the Department concerned.
  3. No student is eligible for university examination without having attended at least 85% of lectures, demonstrations, tutorials, and 100% practical/clinical work in both in-patient and outpatient departments in that academic session.
  4. Has his / her name submitted to the Controller of Examination KMU by the Principal on clearance by the Head of Institute / teacher concerned?
  5. Has paid the requisite fees for the examination to the KMU and has cleared all the college/hostel dues.
  6. There shall be internal assessment in all the subjects as per the prescribed format, forwarded to KMU as pre-requisite of exams (sent by institute) as per internal assessment criteria.
  7. Continuous internal assessment shall consist of evaluation at the end of each assignment, class tests etc., attitudinal assessment from educational and/or clinical supervisors, clinical skill assessment from clinical supervisors, and Year's workbooks.
  8. Any student who fails in internal examination in any subject of any Professional examination shall not be promoted to the next higher class. He/she shall undergo the course of studies in the subject(s) in which he/she failed. There will be no provisional promotion in such cases.
  9. Assessment of Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude shall contribute towards internal assessment. Methods used to assess these domains shall include Multiple Choice Questions, Short Essay Questions, Oral / Viva, and Practical / Clinical examinations.
  10. A proper record of continuous internal assessment shall be maintained by the examination department of the Institute.
